Hook is for road riders who value aerodynamic gains and mostly ride on smoother roads. If you plan to run high pressure, then a hooked/clincher rim is a safe bet.

Hookless is for those who are running wider tires, lower pressures, or are riding on rougher roads. You will benefit from a more comfortable ride due to the higher volume and increased impact protection. Gravel riders and cyclocross riders are often in this situation.

Both hook and hookless rims are built using the same dimensions and materials.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Road rims use super light waterslide decals (matte colors). The decal is very thin and applied under a clearcoat so they are non-removeable.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Manufacturing and shipping could be faster, but LB were very clear abou that upfront. Wheels are stiff, comfortable and of flawless quality. We do offer a Tax-Prepaid Delivery for packages to the Netherlands. The cost would be USD139.2 for one pair of wheels road wheels. Hi, I was wondering, whether the AR46 Disc could be finished as the WR50 disc. I really like the look of the WR50 disc but I like the dimensions of the AR46 better than the ones of the WR50

Hi Benno, Yes, we can do finish close to what WR50 looks like, note that WR series (WR38/50) came out of the mold as a finished product, no post painting or finishing what so ever. Looking on getting these rims to build a set for my gravel bike, I usually run my tires (40C) around 30 PSI, So do you recommend hook-less for this set up, I'll be using I9 28 hole hubs. Also, I would like internal Spoke nipples as well. Do you have any Idea after payment it is done will take for you guys to send them? Thanks,

Hi Jeremy, 1. As you run the tire at low pressure (30psi), the AR46 road disc hookless version would be a good fit. 2. We can make the rims with internal nipple use drilling (2.5mm diameter) with no extra charges added. 3.
