Parisian maniac rider, riding every day, mostly fixed gear, love track bikes, but also road and gravel. I love Super Fast group rides, known as the FAST PACK. I'm 1m75, 65kgs, I am the founder of the international cycling club the SUICIDAL URBAN RIDERS on Strava (2,700 members).
About 18,500 miles (30,000-35,000km) per year.
Training all year round. Riding everyday, absolutely every single day (including commuting).

Carbon spokes for track wheels? That didn’t exist!!
I was looking for high-quality carbon track wheels at a reasonable price. After much research and watching many videos I decided that Light Bicycle was the best option. I loved the customization they offered, I could choose everything and make the perfect wheel set for ME. True custom unlike most other companies! I needed an aero TRACK wheelset, not too deep but more than 50mm and something as light as possible! The AR565 rims were perfect! So light for 56,5mm wheels - amazing! The new Aero X-Flow was stunning visually, especially with the “ice” silver paint.
Light Bicycle offers the possibility of carbon spokes for road/gravel bikes, like other high-end Chinese companies. But carbon spokes for track wheels? That didn’t exist!! I had found months before a manufacturer who makes Track Hubs for Carbon Spokes, this is crazy! But a carbon track wheelset with carbon spokes that didn’t exist, no brand was making any! So I asked Light Bicycle if they could build these wheels using these specific track hubs. They got in touch with the manufacturer of these track hubs for carbon spokes and they told me that yes, they could build them!! They had never done it, it was going to be a UNIQUE PROTOTYPE!! I trusted Light Bicycle, and knew they could build them perfectly.
I received the wheels in a few weeks; the package was excellent and sturdy, with wheels perfectly protected. I paid no extra taxes to France.
I was so thrilled when I unpacked them and saw the quality of the build.
I was so thrilled when I unpacked them and saw the quality of the build - the tension of the spokes was excellent, the rim was flawless, splendid, better than expected! Carbon Spokes were amazing! Flat and super aero carbon spokes laced to a track hub, insane!! I measured and weighed the wheels, everything was as advertised. I mounted the Michelin Power Cup with TPU tubes easily.
The front wheel weighs 635g and the rear wheel 790g, so 1425g for an aero track wheelset, this is AMAZING! 200g lighter than the tubeless track wheels competitors DT SWISS and MAVIC which do not have carbon spokes!
The riding part was fantastic.
Super light and so responsive, super stiff and definitely fast rolling! The wheels felt extremely reliable too. Total confidence. I rode far with them, 47 km/h in my group ride, the Parisian BLAKK FAST PACK, and they were perfect. I could feel their speed when we were accelerating at 55 to 60 kph, when there was an attack; I wasn’t nervous and didn’t let me down. These wheels would be perfect for Fixed Gear Crit Racing and proper Track Racing on the velodrome! Everyone complimented me on them; indeed they look stunning. The SILVER “ICE” glossy/satin finish is so unique. That and the Aero X-Flow rims set them apart from other wheels, and many riding buddies asked me what brand they were and where I got them.
To put it in a nutshell, I absolutely love these wheels, I have nothing bad to say about them, 10/10 A+ as far as I’m concerned, total no brainer. So thankful that Light Bicycle built these wheels for me, maybe the ONLY pair like them in the world!!
