TECH

Built to handle the most technical trails on the mountain, the AM733’s 33mm internal width is a perfect fit for the new breed of ultra wide 2.4-2.8” tires. You’ll appreciate the confidence boost with the massive air volume, impressive traction, and bead seat bumps to keep those big tires in order.

Available in two layup styles, the standard layup is suitable for most riders, but if you are over 200 pounds or tend to ride your equipment really hard, consider the extra layer of 3k carbon in the EN version. Not only does this support G-Out forces, but it also makes the EN733 incredibly stiff and perfect for the hardest charging of riders.

E-bike Approved! This wheel's Enduro Version is designed to be compatible with mid-drive e-bikes.

Luke : I've been riding Light Bicycle RR46C02 (now called AR46) rims on my Eriksen custom road/gravel bike for over 4 years now and love them. They built up nicely and have never needed truing since I built them. On dirt, I've been riding the EN733 (now Recon EN733) rims on my Ibis Mojo 3 for 4 years and have had zero issues. Rock solid and great customer service, I love the stealth look and all the customization that Light Bicycle offers. I'm looking forward to my next set of rims when I go to hookless road and to 29er mountain!

How do I order a single replacement front wheel? I want to match my rear wheel but your website seems to only allow me to order a complete set of front & rear. Thank you.

Hi Philip, Purchase a single bike wheel is currently not available online, however, I can create the invoice for you. What wheel configuration are you looking for? Pls tell me the detailed specs and I will quote and create invoice accordingly. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Brandon 2018/04/22

Why is the equivalent wheel build of the B13 wheelset cheaper than the AM733? How do they really differ?

LightBicycle 2018/04/23

Hi Brandon, The essential difference between those two model is the rim profile. AM733 is with asymmetrical rim profile while RM650BC13 is symmetric. Asymmetrical rim profile, it provides better spoke tension balance between drive-side and non-drive side. It will make rims/wheels more durable, and it provides 2 years warranty service. So asymmetrical rims/wheels are with much higher price You can choose the rims building on your own condition. Or if you like, I can make some suggestion to you. But I will need some info from you. 1. your weight 2. tire width 3. what kind of riding you do? aggressive or not? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Thanks for your reply. My tire width varies from 2.4 - 2.5. Regards. Stefan

LightBicycle 2017/11/08

Hi Stefan, Thanks for your reply! We would recommend you our AM728 and WM650BC05 wheelset. They are suitable for the 2.4"~2.5" tire and strong enough for your weight. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Stefan 2017/11/04

Please can you suggest what wheels for a 2016 Santa Cruz nomad 3 for trail and enduro riding. I am 185 lb. 110-15 front and 142- 12 back. Am looking for a light weight build and wondering what hub and spoke build you would recommend. Many thanks.

LightBicycle 2017/11/06

Hi Stefan, We recommend our WM650BC05 wheelset and WM650BC13 wheelset to you. We recommend DT SWISS 240s hub and Sapim CX-RAY spoke for you, which is lighter and stronger. What do you think about that? May I know your tire width? Then we can check which wheelset is better for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Is it possible to build these with i9 hubs?

LightBicycle 2017/08/11

Elmer 2017/03/04

Hi LB, Im 180 lbs and does drops and not so crazy big jumps what do you recommend? I got 2017 pivot mach 6 carbon 27.5 boost rear axle 12x148 and 15/110 front not sure if its boost or not, It would be great if i could purchase a lime green hub color and decals and UD matte rims. Pls reply asap. TY

LightBicycle 2017/03/06

Hello Elmer, Thanks for your inquiry. I saw your other message on our website only. According to your info, I think our 34mm wide 650B enduro asymmetric wheels are strong enough for your riding. For your front hub, I'm not sure if that is with 15*100mm thru axle or 15*110mm boost. Please measure your fork spacing to confirm the correct axle size, thank you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Steve 2017/01/24

Hi, what are the differences between the 40mm and 34mm rim widths please? The 40mm seems to be lighter, but does that make it weaker. Is the 40mm version a later model? Cheers, Steve

LightBicycle 2017/02/09

Hello Steve, Sorry for the late reply. We were on Chinese New Year vacation in the last 10 days and just get back to office today. The 650B 40mm width rim is much wider, deeper and stronger. Also, the rim weight is much heavier than 34mm width. Yes, the 40mm width is newer, but both rims are with the same design. Rims profile attached for your reference. Thanks, Lightbicycle
